Hebeloma mesopheaum (Pers.: Fr.) Quel. is a common ectomycorrhizal fungus of Pinus pinaster var. atlantica in the Mamora forest. Their fruit bodies are frequently observed each year during the autumn Saison. The fungus was isolated easily from collected sporocarps and the pure culture obtained colonizes rapidly the MNM culture medium.
In the nursery, both the mycelium and spores were used as inoculum. Several months after inoculation, the inoculated seedlings formed straight and unbranched ectomycorrhizas with cottony mycelium. Some sporophores were formed and reached maturity. They are similar to those occurring naturally in the field.

Key words: Hebeloma mesophaeum, Pinus pinaster, ectomycorrhizas, artificial inoculation.
